Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Credit Stoppers website, forms, educational resources, communications, and services. By using our website or submitting information to Credit Stoppers, you agree to these terms.

Effective: August 3, 2023

1. About Credit Stoppers

Credit Stoppers provides credit education, credit-improvement assistance, credit-building guidance, credit-monitoring resources, and funding-readiness support. Certain services may involve reviewing consumer credit information, identifying potentially inaccurate or otherwise disputable reporting, and helping clients understand possible next steps.

Credit Stoppers is not a credit bureau, lender, bank, law firm, or government agency. We do not provide legal representation and do not make lending or credit-approval decisions.

2. Eligibility and Use of the Website

By using this website or submitting a form, you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorized to provide the contact information submitted.

You agree not to use this website or Credit Stoppers services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, or unauthorized purposes.

3. Credit Review Requests

Submitting a Credit Review allows Credit Stoppers to evaluate the information you voluntarily provide and determine what type of educational resource, credit-improvement service, credit-building strategy, or funding-readiness assistance may be relevant to your goals.

Submission of a Credit Review does not create a guarantee that Credit Stoppers will accept you into a particular program or that any specific result will occur.

4. Credit Repair and Credit-Improvement Services

Credit Stoppers may assist clients in reviewing credit reports and addressing information that may have a legitimate basis for investigation, correction, or dispute. We do not promise that every negative item can or will be removed.

Accurate negative information generally cannot be removed simply because it is unfavorable. Credit Stoppers does not guarantee deletions, credit-score increases, or a particular outcome from any dispute or credit-improvement process.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information and for reviewing communications, reports, documentation, and responses related to their own credit profile.

5. Credit Building

Credit-building recommendations may include educational information about payment history, utilization, account mix, inquiries, secured products, credit-builder products, rent reporting, monitoring, or other tools.

Any third-party credit-building product has its own eligibility requirements, fees, terms, underwriting standards, and privacy practices. Credit Stoppers does not control or guarantee the performance of third-party products.

6. Funding and Financing Assistance

Credit Stoppers may provide educational information and guidance intended to help clients understand financing readiness and identify potential personal or business financing opportunities.

Credit Stoppers does not make lending decisions and cannot guarantee approval, a particular credit limit, loan amount, interest rate, term, lender, or amount of funding.

Applications are ultimately submitted by the client to third-party financial institutions. Approval decisions are made solely by those third parties.

7. Programs, Fees, and Service Agreements

Program descriptions, pricing, included services, monitoring arrangements, mailing costs, and other service details may be displayed on the Credit Stoppers website or provided in a separate service agreement.

If you enroll in a paid service, the specific agreement presented to you at enrollment controls the scope of services, payment obligations, timing, cancellation rights, refund terms, and any other program-specific conditions.

Credit Stoppers may update future program pricing or offerings. Changes do not retroactively alter an existing signed agreement unless both parties agree or the agreement otherwise permits the change.

8. Client Responsibilities

When using Credit Stoppers services, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information.
  • Not knowingly submit false documents or false dispute information.
  • Review your own credit reports, notices, and correspondence when requested.
  • Maintain access to any third-party monitoring service required by your selected program.
  • Notify Credit Stoppers of material changes that may affect the service.
  • Remain responsible for legitimate financial obligations and payment decisions.

Credit Stoppers does not instruct clients to stop paying valid debts or financial obligations.

9. Third-Party Services and External Links

The Credit Stoppers website may provide links to credit bureaus, credit-monitoring providers, banks, lenders, credit unions, credit-building services, government resources, or other third-party websites.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, eligibility criteria, pricing, and business practices. Credit Stoppers is not responsible for the content, availability, security, decisions, or performance of third-party services.

10. Affiliate and Referral Relationships

Some links on the Credit Stoppers website may be referral or affiliate links. Credit Stoppers may receive compensation if you enroll in or obtain a product through certain links, at no additional cost to you unless otherwise disclosed.

11. Communications

By providing your email address or telephone number, you authorize Credit Stoppers to contact you regarding requests you initiate and services you use, subject to your communication preferences and applicable law.

If you separately opt in to receive text messages, Credit Stoppers may send service-related or promotional messages according to the consent you provide.

Marketing text-message consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or using Credit Stoppers services.

Your use of the website and submission of personal information are also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Credit Stoppers name, website content, written materials, graphics, branding, educational content, layouts, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Credit Stoppers and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use website materials for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit Credit Stoppers materials without permission.

15. No Guarantee of Results

Important: Credit Stoppers does not guarantee specific credit-score increases, deletion of credit-report items, approval for financing, credit limits, interest rates, loan terms, or funding outcomes. Results depend on each individual's credit profile, documentation, creditor or bureau responses, financial circumstances, and third-party decisions.

16. Educational Information

Information provided on the Credit Stoppers website, in resources, or during general educational communications is intended for informational and educational purposes. It should not be treated as legal, tax, accounting, investment, or individualized financial advice.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Credit Stoppers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use, third-party services, financing decisions, or reliance on general educational information.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your material violation of these Terms, or information you knowingly submit without authorization or with fraudulent intent.

20. Changes to These Terms

Credit Stoppers may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our website, services, business practices, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on this page.

Your continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised website Terms, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

21. Service-Specific Agreements

These website Terms do not replace any separate contract, credit-repair agreement, authorization, disclosure, payment agreement, or other service-specific document that you may sign with Credit Stoppers.

If a service-specific agreement conflicts with these general website Terms, the service-specific agreement will control for that service to the extent permitted by law.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
